How Sound Waves Clear Microphone Pinholes
Because microphone pinholes are too small for brushes, acoustic air displacement is the safest cleaning method. By playing high frequency sweeps between 800Hz and 2800Hz through the phone speaker array, rapid air oscillations travel through the device internal acoustic cavity. This positive air pressure pulse forcibly expels dry lint and moisture outward without placing mechanical stress on the delicate MEMS silicon membrane.
